House of Representatives announcer McCarthy plans gathering with Taiwan president in the United States

House of Representatives talker Kevin McCarthy plans to meet in April in California with Taiwan president Tsai Ing-wen and, Reuters reported. According to the Financial Times, the gathering will be held in the US at Tsai's request not to escalate tensions with Beijing.
