Backstage Talks
As the portal Niezalezna.pl stated, since the end of last year, Szymon Hołownia and his closest surroundings from Poland 2050 have held back-to-back talks with PiS politicians and representatives of president Karol Nawrocki. The contacts in the portal are regular, and Holovnia admitted that without cooperation with the presidential centre it was hard to implement key political initiatives and declared the readiness to dialog with the Presidential Palace. These meetings are a continuation of earlier talks with Jarosław Kaczyński in Adam Bielan's flat after the presidential election, which sparked disputes among the coalitions criticizing the deficiency of information about the negotiations.
Later, Holovnia besides considered the candidacy for the position of UN advanced Commissioner for Refugees, supported by both the government and Karol Nawrocki, but yet this chance did not come to pass. Now, according to Niezalezna.pl, Hołownia is considering sending representatives of Poland 2050 to the Parliamentary Council of the president of the Republic of Poland, which is attended by members of PSL, while it lacks representatives of Poland 2050, KO and Left.
Even Przemysław Czarnek admitted in “Super Express” that talks between the PiS and Simon Holovnia actually took place. He referred to this gathering of Holowna with Jarosław Kaczyński organised by Euro MP Adam Bielan, although he did not attend them himself. He added that the PiS is open to any coalition in the Sejm that could lead to the collapse of the current coalition, while admitting that this is unlikely, though possible. He besides pointed out that in many cases he agrees with any members of Poland 2050, with whom he lists views in tv studios.
The election scandal
Szymon Holownia warned that he would leave Poland 2050 with a group of MPs if the organization did not end the interior conflict and did not change the way the fresh leadership was chosen. Following the decision of the National Council to repeat the 2nd circular of elections between Hennig-Kloska and Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, he estimated that the group was in a deep crisis and was headed for "programmed self-destruction".
The Holovnia pointed out that the only possible solutions were to cancel the full process or introduce co-chairship, while noting that it did not intend to leave the ruling coalition.
If there is simply a situation in which a group is privatised by 1 of the factions, of course they both now curse that they will include everyone and that there will be another solution, yes, I will leave Poland 2050, due to the fact that it will not be Poland 2050 or Szymon Hołownia anymore, nor the values with which this Poland 2050 was assumed – declared Hołownia.
