This will be the seventh edition of “Feria from WOT”. The training is aimed at adult advanced school students, students and teachers, but not only. The biggest interest is in east and central Poland. In the 12th Wielkopolska BOT the solemn oath will be held on the Liberty Square in Poznań, on the anniversary of the first oath of the Wielkopolska insurgents.
"WOT Holidays" is simply a basic training of 16 days or 8 days – compensatory, during winter holidays. It is addressed to adult students or students who want to usage the winter break to do "sixteen". - But not only. All adults who want to become WOT soldiers can submit applications, says Dominik Urbański of the Territorial Defence Army Command. Last year, more than 1,400 volunteers were trained during spring break. In 2025, nearly all OT brigades will participate in the task together with the WOT Command Battalion. There are besides topography classes as well as fire and tactical training. – Since each brigade is located in another part of Poland, the training may include any elements related to local conditions and traditions. During the training, meetings can be organized with the veterans in the form of a "living past lesson" or a visit to memorial sites and museums – it besides has to do with a tradition that, in addition to fraternity, courage and responsibility, is 1 of the pillars of the WOT service. Appointments to units, as all year, are consistent with the agenda of holidays in individual voivodships. The 16-day course is based on a basic training script for volunteers to WOT. – The training differs only the specificity of the individual and the fact that it takes place in winter – says Urbański.
