Holiday is the perfect time to join the Polish Army. On Saturday morning, nearly 70 volunteers decided to devote their free time to military training at the 10th Świętokrzyska Brigade of Territorial Defence. A military oath will culminate in the effort.
"WOT holidays" is simply a proposal for very active leisure time. This means military primary training, which will take 16 days. For the 5th time, our brigade is conducting basic training under the WOT Holiday. I am glad that, as all year and this time, a large group of young people decided to become soldiers of the Polish Army during the summertime break – said Colonel Sławomir Machniewicz, commander of the 10th WBOT.
The vast majority, as many as 80% of volunteers are young people under the age of 21. About 20% of fresh arrivals are women. Freshly appointed represent various professions and specialties. The most many group in training are students from general schools and technicians.

Sixteen-day basic training is aimed at those who have not yet had contact with the military service. The first day is usually to collect uniforms, including individual equipment (carimata, helmet, sleeping bag, infantry backpack). all day is an intense and interesting military training. During the "sixteen", the future Territorials must become acquainted with the safe and effective usage of weapons as well as elements of tactics. They will besides learn the basics of first medical aid on the battlefield, evacuate the injured and work with a map and compass. The training ends with the alleged ‘tactic loop’, which is simply a test of training each Territorial. The culmination of the effort, acquired skills and cognition will be the ceremonial military oath on Kielce Bukówka on 21 July.
