On Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the Kolbuszowa marketplace Square, 66 volunteers took a military oath to the banner of the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade. Volunteers will power the ranks of battalions in Rzeszów, Nisk, Dębica, Nisk (finally Tarnobrzeg) and Sanoku. The ceremonial military oath was the finale of the "WOT Holiday", that is, the 16-day basic training conducted in Nowa Sarzyna and in the Podkarpackie shooting ranges.
The military oath of the Podkarpackie territorials was the last phase of basic training as part of the first turn of this year's "WOT Holiday" project, which began on 22 June. The solemn oath to the banner of the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade of Colonel Łukasz Ciepliński, ps. "Plow" made 66 inhabitants from Podkarpackie.
During the alleged 16th year, volunteers from the region gained training from basic issues, including: safe and effective usage of the MSBS GROT rifle, tactics, topography or medical assistance in the field of combat.
Letter to the fresh soldiers of the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade was sent by the Deputy Prime Minister
National defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish. In the letter we read – You promised to defend your Homeland and defend its citizens, due to the fact that that is your task as soldiers of the Territorial defence Army. You decided to do this here, in the region where you live, in Podkarpacie, where many of you grew up and shaped – stressed the head of the MON.
The commander of the Podkarpackie territorials, thanking the soldiers for their attitude, emphasized that by expressing the words of the military oath they join the group of soldiers of the Polish Army.
-By taking your military oath today, you undertake to service Poland in accordance with values specified as courage, fidelity and honour. This is simply a tangible proof of a crucial increase in work for Poland and the safety of our country," said Colonel Michał Małyska, commander of 3 PBOT.
Prior to the ceremonial military oath, the main examination topped the alleged "sixth" took place during which volunteers from Podkarpacie had to execute circumstantial tasks, among others: to wear a gas mask, to decision in the field utilizing busola, to burden the magazine on time or to supply medical assistance to the victim in the field of combat. In this way, they were summed up during training basic skills, and the culmination of the hardships was a ceremonial military oath.
In addition to the military oath of the same day, Colonel Michał Małyska, commander of the Podkarpackie territorials, handed the SONDA sub-commissioned course to the graduates, appointment to the first sub-commissioned degree. Eventually, the course was completed by 20 territorials with 3 PBOT.
Another basic training for volunteers as part of the cyclical action "Holiday with WOT" will be held on 17 August 2024. This word is chosen not by accident – it is to meet advanced school students who are 18 years of age, but besides teachers and educational staff who will be able to usage the inter-semary break to participate in a 16-day primary training without giving up their regular duties.
