Hitler and Stalin

Hitler and Stalin-- 2 nightmare gangsters liable for the deaths of 60-80 million people. But the communicative is written by the winners, and most people in the planet think Hitler is the bad guy.

In the penultimate Politics is an article about how Stalin tried to deal with Hitler after a hego attack on the russian Union (Operation Barbarossa). However, the article does not mention why Hitler chose to attack.

According to many historians (e.g. Solonin, or Suvorov) claims that if he had not done so, Stalin would have attacked him in 2 weeks, having a immense advantage in the number of tanks (there were 4 times more than German, and were better) and another military equipment.

I am not to find which version of the communicative is true: i) Whether the USSR was solely a victim of Hitler's assault, or ii) Hitler's only chance to avoid an attack of a stronger (on paper) army, was a preemptive maneuver- to destruct russian tanks and aircraft standing in garages and hangars.

I don't want to settle specified issues, but I want the media had a historian's discussion about it.
