[As we read in the Communication](https://www.rtx.com/news/news-center/2025/12/23/rtxs-raytheon-awarded-1-7-billion-contract-to-deliver-four-patriot-fire-units-t?utm source=twitter&utm medium=organic&utm content= &utm id=1903471237319104821972138&linkId=892258471), contract, carried out under the abroad Military Sales Programme, includes the provision of radar, launchers, command and control stations, and training equipment. The Patriot strategy is capable of combating a wide scope of threats – from long-range projectiles to tactical ballistic missiles to all types of aerial threats. Spain already had Patriot's PAC-2+ version on its equipment (from the Bundeswehr surpluses, 3 fire units), and now 4 fire units will join them. Since 2015, Madrid has deployed 1 Patriot battery in Turkey as part of NATO's air defence mission, and after Russia's full-scale aggression to Ukraine has supplied Kiev with PAC-2 missiles and possibly circumstantial strategy components.
