Spain: The Prime Minister announced a fresh aid to Ukraine of EUR 1 billion

Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez present announced a fresh aid of EUR 1 billion for a counter-Russian invasion of Ukraine. The head of government assured that the war between the US and Israel and Iran would not make Spain and the EU forget to aid Kiev.

– We will support the Ukrainian people with the same strength as the first day – he assured Sánchez at a press conference in Madrid with the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski.

Before visiting Spain, Zelenski visited Romania, France and large Britain. This is his 4th visit to Spain since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. During the last 1 to take place in mid-November 2025, Sánchez announced an aid package for Kiev worth EUR 817 million.
