A $4 billion debt warrant granted to Poland by the United States will be granted under the abroad Military Financing (FMF) programme. This appropriation is intended primarily to cover the partial repayment of contracts already concluded with the US for the acquisition of weapons, including 96 AH-64E assault helicopters Apache and Patriot Air defence Systems.

What is FMF?
Foreign Military Financing (FMF) is simply a program run by the U.S. Department of State that allows U.S. allies and partners to lend and grant to acquisition U.S. military equipment.
In April this year, as part of an aid package for Ukraine, the U.S. legislature increased the funds available under the FMF for NATO states to a level of $6.7 billion.
