High costs, no deterrence. The American expert thunders Poland for buying MQ-9

In December 2024, Poland signed a contract to acquisition 3 MQ-9B SkyGuardian drones from the US for $310 million. Samuel Nahins, erstwhile operator of these unmanned workers, believes this is simply a mistake. It points out that these machines may have limited utility in the Schonio-European weather conditions, and even more so in confrontation with an opponent with extended anti-aircraft defense, specified as Russia. In his opinion, for the same money, thousands of Ukrainian constructions could be purchased – proven in combat and comparatively inexpensive – and hundreds of operators could be trained. "The temptations to spend money on expensive, well-known American platforms should be resisted," said an expert from the US.
