Herr Donald Tusk will not go to Berlin on May 8, as originally planned. According to unofficial reports, the main reason for resigning from the ceremony is the ongoing presidential run in Poland.
According to the information published by “Rzeczpospolita”, talks are inactive ongoing on the fresh date of the inauguration of the building in the German capital of a monument dedicated to Polish victims of the 3rd Reich. The event was due to take place on 8 May exactly, on the 80th anniversary of the end of planet War II.

On the another hand, the day before, on 7 May, after the fresh government in Poland will be sworn in, Friedrich Merz – the fresh chancellor of Germany will arrive in Warsaw. The visit will be symbolic and Merz will meet with Prime Minister Tuski. It is besides possible that he will lay a wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
