The ruling organization has been facing criticism from protesting farmers for more than 2 weeks. The fiasco besides ended with talks at the "round table", and the agreement lasted only a fewer twelve hours. The media has already named the fresh head of the agricultural department.

"I resigned as Minister of Agriculture and agrarian Development" - said Henryk Kowalczyk at a short briefing. The Deputy Prime Minister stated that his step was dictated by the European Commission's decision, "because it is very clear that the primary request of farmers will not be met."

Media reports that the PiS politician will stay in government in the rank of Deputy Prime Minister without a portfolio. The fresh head of the ministry according to Interia and Polsat News information is to be the current president of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and agrarian improvement Robert Telus.

The resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Henryk Kowalczyk was in the air for respective days. On Tuesday Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki assuredthat "personal decisions are worked out in agreement with the political committee, only then are they communicated".

Apology on the air. "The farmers didn't realize my speech."

I will start a conflict on the agricultural ministry line - the farmers were Ukrainian cereals which, after being cut off from the Black Sea, had no anticipation of export. With the aid of the future global community - Turkey became active in the creation of a grain corridor between Moscow and Kiev, in turn Poland agreed to export through its territory.

Farmers got furious after the Minister of Agriculture's appeals about not selling Polish grain, due to the fact that "it will not be cheap", and Ukrainian natural material will not be sold in Poland. It turned out that a large part of the grain remained above the Vistula in silos, and was besides sold.

"I already said, I'm sorry they didn't realize the intention of my speech.. During harvest time, grain should not be sold in a panicky way, due to the fact that the price falls, and I did not say that after harvest it does not apply" - he defended himself in Polsat News Deputy Prime Minister.

The cereals agreement fiasco

Probably cost him his job. "The change in the position of Minister of Agriculture Law and Justice is to explain the desire to 'new opening' with farmers and 'silence' their protests, but besides does not want to place Kowalczyk in full work for the conflict with the environment" - says "Rzeczpospolita".

Already next day the president will dismiss Henryk Kowalczyk from his position as Minister of Agriculture and at the same time appoint his successor.

Only 1 possible name of the fresh minister, Robert Telus, is mentioned in the Chancellery of the president and in the Law Office. @RMF24
