Hennig-Kloska announces a review of electricity tariffs

In April this year, a key energy tariff review will take place, which will find the future of the energy price frost mechanism. In a Friday interview with money.pl, climate and environment minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska announced that the government would decide on further steps after analysing the marketplace situation.

Government objective: Gentle exit from energy price freeze

Minister Hennig-Kloska stressed that the government's precedence was to further reduce energy prices in the wholesale market. "Our nonsubjective is to further reduce energy prices in the wholesale marketplace so that tariffs go below the maximum price under the Act. We request to step out of price frost in a mild way so that it does not stimulate inflation and rise bills. In April we have a planned next tariff review, after which the government will decide what to do next," said the head of the MKiŚ.

The government declares that the energy price frost mechanics will be extended for as long as it will be essential to defend Polish families from costly effects. "The government will extend the mechanics of freezing energy prices for as long as it takes to defend Polish families from costly prices," the Minister assured.

Windmill Act: Compromise and fresh solutions

The conversation besides addressed the subject of the alleged Windmill Act. Minister Hennig-Kloska informed that a compromise had been reached on the issues at issue. "We have reached a compromise, we have settled the dispute.
