Helicopters for Czech Republic free, but not without cost

The U.S. State Department gave the Czech Republic approval to acquisition overhaul and modernization packages for 6 Bell AH-1Z Viper strike helicopters and 2 Bell UH-1Y Venom multirole machines. These are the machines that Prague will receive free of charge for handing Ukraine its own Mi-17 and Mi-24/35 helicopters.
