Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, will not come to Gdańsk for the distant gathering of the European Commission related to the inauguration of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council, Commission spokesperson Stefan de Keersmaecker said. The reason is the president's severe pneumonia. The gathering will be held at a later date.
