It can be said that Deputy Head of the Russian safety Council Dmitri Medvedev explicitly acknowledged Russia's objectives in the context of talks with Ukraine, and this is not a compromise. Medvedev stated that the goal of peace talks with Ukraine "the triumph of Russia". The erstwhile president stressed that this is what Moscow submitted to Kiev for Monday talks in Istanbul.
