Hasior. endurance - Royal Castle in Warsaw

The exhibition features the most outstanding of presently available works by Władysław Hasior, borrowed from Polish museums and private collections. Both in terms of form and content, the widest spectrum of the artist's creative search was shown. Generational traumas (war and not only), mechanisms of social oppression, relationships between man and nature, individual and collective, sacrum and profanum, what is universal and lasting, and what is local and transient – all these themes are reflected in the selection of works, creating a fascinating and profound discourse on human condition, full of references to the most crucial texts of culture. Assemblages, banners, concrete sculptures cast in the ground – each of these artistic expressions has its own representation.

Areas of Hasior's creative interests frequently coincide with themes which present are in the mainstream philosophical, social and political discourse, specified as ecology (trying to exceed the anthropocentric perspective) or the folk roots of the Polish community.

The exhibition is organized as part of the 50th anniversary of the reconstruction of the Royal Castle in Warsaw and symbolically refers to the exhibition of works by Władysław Hasior, which took place 50 years ago in the walls of the Castle located inactive in a natural state.
