The draft resolution on the safety of the Republic of Poland was adopted present by the Sejm Defence Commission. It was not without a “small” scandal. ‘They had no arguments. They were run over, so they rapidly closed the discussion in panic," wrote Andrzej Plum, MP of Law and Justice on platform X. It turns out that the parliamentarians of the ruling coalition voted to conclude the discussion on resolutions on the European Parliament resolution on the White Paper on Defence – despite the opposition of Marcin Ociepa, associate of the Law and erstwhile Deputy of the MON.
At its Thursday meeting, the national defence committee dealt with 2 draft resolutions. The first was a draft KO on support for the European Parliament resolution on the future of the European defence and the second was a draft PiS on the defence of Polish sovereignty.
During the discussion on the projects, Mr Suski (KO) requested that it be terminated and that the vote be taken. This proposal, despite the opposition of Mr Marcin Ociepa (PiS), was accepted by the committee. The committee chief Andrzej Grzyb (PSL-TD) then closed the first reading of the projects and proposed to choice the main project. Mr Suski proposed that the lead task should be the KO project. The Commission voted in favour of Suski's proposal and the lead task was a draft resolution submitted by the KO.
After discussion, Members in the vote decided to change the title of the resolution to the resolution on the safety of the Republic of Poland.
Full support for the EP resolution
The draft resolution proposed by Members of the KO assumes full support for the solutions contained in the European Parliament resolution of 12 March on the future of the European defence. The resolution was not supported, among others, by Euro MPs from the Law and the Confederation. The resolution stresses, among another things, that the Sejm considers the EP resolution on the Shield Programme to be a peculiarly crucial record.
The PiS draft called on the government to retreat its support for the EP resolution and take action to strengthen national defence policy, including close NATO cooperation.
The opposition, and in peculiar the Law and Justice, points out that the European Parliament resolution in practice leads to the creation of something like a "NATO-bis", a "puss" of the United States from Europe and the entrustment of its safety to Brussels, especially the top power of the European Union, namely Germany. The power for which a alternatively weak side is defence - and everything thanks, among another things, to the current head of the European Commission. Ursula von der Leyen, to put it mildly, did not show up as Minister of Defence of Germany.
‘They were run over, so they closed the discussion”
The shameful vote was commented on by the X MP PiS Andrzej Plumka.
Boom! They had no arguments. They were run over, so they rapidly closed the discussion in panic. Members of the ruling coalition voted to conclude the discussion on resolutions on the EP resolution on the White Paper on Defence

Members of the ruling coalition would like to entrust the right to decide on the defence of EU associate States, which is managed, among others, by your politician, who destroyed the army of his country. Those who object to this, “Russian onuca”. However, Donald Tusk and his government have seemingly forgotten that it is thanks to those who are accused present of favouring Putinian Russia, Poland is now the NATO leader in defence spending. erstwhile Tusk, Trzaskowski or Kosiniak-Kamish brag about it publicly, they seldom add that this is the consequence of the decision of the supposedly "pro-Russian" PiS.
