Hamas-Israel truce to be extended? The U.S. has presented a fresh proposal

U.S. envoy to the mediate East Steve Witkoff has presented Israel and Hamas with a fresh proposal to extend the truce in the Gaza war, the Axios news portal reported Thursday. The plan calls for respective weeks of additional truce for the release of 5 Israeli hostages.
