The Central Office of Geodesy and Cartography asked the president of Warsaw to enter a measuring column in the registry of monuments in the Theatre Square in Warsaw. It is 1 of the most valuable, unique geodesic monuments in Poland. It was created in 1872 in connection with measurements of the geodetic arch of the parallel 52 N.
