Grzegorz Braun, leader of the Confederation of the Polish Crown, set fire to the blue fabric with 12 yellow stars, associated with the flag of the European Union, during a conference under the “Wujek” mine in Katowice. The material was taken from the Ministry of manufacture building. Braun described him as the “emblem of the occupier” and “the invader” who “stretched his hand to our children, after their health, their life, for our money, for our possessions, for the treasures which the Polish earth hides.”
"The Wind of past Blows" – Braun on the Symbolism of the Burned Flag
The incidental occurred at the beginning of the conference erstwhile the burning rag produced a large amount of smoke, interrupting the speech by Marty Czech.

Braun called the European Union a “non-existent country” which claims the right to control Poland. He besides criticised the Ministry of Industry, identifying them as “Ministry of the Elimination of Polish Industry”.
– “A part of substance is burning here with the emblem of a non-existent state that claims to manage and push around the life, wellness and wealth of Poles” He said.
The politician compared Polish authorities' cooperation with the EU to collaboration with the occupiers during planet War II:
– "These colours mean their actions by collaborators, volksdeutsche, judenrats and not independent Republic authorities who stand defender against sovereignty, freedom of the Polish people. Down with the commune, down with the Eurocommun. Eurocommuna is besides a commune" – he said.

“The closure of mines is treason” — Braun about the future of Polish mining
Braun powerfully criticized the plans to phase out Polish coal and lignite mining by 2049, calling them “a crime in the Polish people”.
– "The crime in the Polish nation is the implementation of the script of the flooding of Polish mining. The last mine in Poland is to be closed, buried, demolished by 2049. This is treason” He stressed.
The politician besides announced a "patriotic programme of returning to coal" and the liquidation of institutions which he felt were harmful to Poland.
