WB Group and Gdańsk University of Technology signed a cooperation agreement

On September 3, during the XXXII global Defence manufacture Exhibition in Kielce, the Group of WB (WB Electronics S.A., RADMOR S.A. and the AREX Sp. z o.o. Department of Automatory and measurement Equipment) signed a cooperation agreement with Gdańsk University of Technology on projects of unmanned marine systems and another solutions intended for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland.

The ceremony took place in the conference area of the WB Group during the first day of the biggest defence fair in Poland. On the side of the WB Group, the contract was signed by Vice-President Adam Bartosziewicz, the Gdańsk University of Technology was represented by Rector Prof. dr. hab. inż. Krzysztof Wilde. Through common cooperation, the Parties want to accomplish synergies between manufacture and discipline both in the implementation of projects and investigation as well as in mass production.

The agreement includes framework principles of cooperation between the WB Group and the Gdańsk University of Technology in the field of teaching, scientific, investigation and improvement and manufacturing activities concerning manned and unmanned boats and submarines, including combat platforms, equipment and equipment for communication systems, as well as software for implementing the established functionality in defined projects.

"For many years Gdańsk University of Technology has been an crucial partner for the Polish armed forces and defence industry, and the agreement signed present shows that the direction of improvement of the university in this field works very well," said Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology.

"We want an agreement with specified a strong partner as the WB GROUP to open up fresh opportunities for both sides and translate into real strengthening and expanding the defence and maneuvering capabilities of Polish soldiers," added the Rector of Gdańsk University.

"GRUPA WB is Poland's largest investigation and improvement entity. This is part of our doctrine of creating first solutions for the safety of Poland, due to the fact that only specified supply full intellectual rights, sovereignty in production, modifications and exports. In the improvement of our advanced systems we cooperate closely with Polish technological institutions," said Adam Bartosziewicz, Vice president of the WB Group.

Within the framework of the agreement, WB Group and Gdańsk University of Technology have undertaken to establish permanent cooperation, which is to be demonstrated by taking initiatives in the field of scientific, teaching, training, advisory and promotional activities.

Cooperation between discipline and manufacture is besides intended to include the organisation and implementation of projects aimed at developing the educational offer of Gdańsk University of Technology, promoting modern method solutions in the strategy of university education and conducting investigation and improvement work. Training and exchange of experience, designation of cooperation areas and joint initiation of R & D and implementation programmes are to be part of the cooperation.
