GROM Challenge – Strength and Honor – this name for permanent occurred in the consciousness of those who want to actively/niblonowo/extremally spend 1 of September weekends and prove themselves during the event modeled for selection to – 1 of the best peculiar units in the planet – GROM.
The full name of this different event is GROM Challenge – Power and Honor and since the first edition the organizers emphasize that it is organized to commemorate the creator of JW. 2305 Slawomir Petelicki and those soldiers of the Unit who are no longer among us. This year, for the thirteenth time, the GROM Polygon Training Centre in Red Bora will host respective 100 daredevils who want to test their – not only physical – form.
Red Bór is simply a place that has been permanently associated with JW. 2305. In the 1990s snipers and later operators of this peculiar unit are trained in this field. There are many – useful elements besides in training not only the commandos of elements. Shooting range, climbing tower, hand-to-hand fighting hall, water tank for exercise of elements of the "blue tactics", the fitness course, which is most likely the longest at the minute in Poland, is not all that the participants can face. And not only representatives of uniformed services, but besides civilians who are trained by erstwhile GROM operators constitute a big, and sometimes even a grizzly challenge of 😊. Which is besides crucial this year, JW. The GROM celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Uprising and on this occasion, a peculiar mural commemorating the event was created on the Oślówka area.
On Saturday 13 September, the 13th edition of this challenge will be held. And again, as during the real selection, instructors – volunteers of the Foundation NOT REMINDED organizer of the event - coming from GROM will put tasks before participants and measure their performance. I think any 1 of the runners would like to know. Unfortunately – as Tomek says – we will talk about the tasks erstwhile we start the GROM Challenge – after all, the erstwhile cognition of tasks has nothing to do with the reality of selection and this is the main presumption of events. Besides, each of the instructors had to pass the selection any time ago and did not know any details about what was waiting for him on the tour.
GROM Challenge is simply a circumstantial run. It is held only erstwhile a year in September to commemorate the first selection to the Unit, which took place in Bieszczady in 1991 and always run double-man teams – team. Teamwork is besides 1 of the elements of the Unit’s service. Through the support of colleagues, many missions were completed without unnecessary trouble.
GROM Challenge – Power and Honor could not take place without support from local government institutions, NGOs and companies and individuals.
