The spokesperson categorically denied Athens' ability to transfer S-300 systems and rockets to Kiev. However, the remainder of the information that came out at the end of January was not disputed. At the time, it was the Greek media that informed that, in connection with the approval of the US to procure the F-35 aircraft by Athens, they decided to transfer the russian anti-aircraft systems of an unspecified kind to Ukraine. Among the indicated structures were anti-aircraft kits based on ZU-23-2. Many media indicated that the S-300 systems would besides be transferred to Ukraine, although this would be a crucial weakening of the safety of the Greek sky due to the deficiency of a possible fast replacement by, for example, another Patriot launchers. Now this information has been officially deposed.
