Greece is presently 1 of the largest Leopard 1 tank users with about 500 Leopard 1A5/GR/V tanks in its condition, whose capacity to fire primary tanks in the front hull and tower armor is insufficient, and the level of crew protection is even critically low. EODH (in cooperation with the German company KMW and the Spanish company DUMA) has come up with a proposal for a partial improvement of this condition. The most visible component of it is the improvement of crew protection, by mounting at the front and sides of the tower and fuselage of the reactive armour explosive cubes. Interestingly, they are besides placed on the tower ceiling, most likely in order to increase the resilience of this site to attacks, e.g. FPV drones. In addition, the company declares the anticipation to attach anchor points for the cage shield, characteristic for e.g. vehicles in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The installation of the jammer is besides offered as a supporting element.
