The government plans to importantly relieve entrepreneurs – the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy wants to abolish the work to archive paper applications to social safety for 5 years. It is part of a larger deregulation package, which is intended to facilitate business in Poland.
No more extra responsibilities
The draft amendment of the social safety strategy law assumes that payers will no longer gotta store paper application documents. presently entrepreneurs are obliged to archive them, even though all data is available in the ZUS systems.
"Social Insurance Institution emphasises that changes would not have a negative impact on the performance of tasks. At the same time, abolishing this work would reduce the administrative burden on entrepreneurs" – read the justification for the project.
Deregulation package – over 300 business facilitations
It's not the only change that makes life easier for entrepreneurs. The government deregulation package includes over 300 solutions, including:
- Possibility to conduct craft activities in the form of a capital company,
- Electronisation of proceedings before the National Appeal Chamber, allowing distant trials,
- “One in, 1 out” principle – the introduction of a fresh work must entail the abolition of another.
"The Prime Minister has committed all ministers to making simplification a precedence for them" – stressed Maciej Berek, Head of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers and deregulation coordinator.
On 6 June 2025, the first package of changes was signed by president Andrzej Duda.
What's next?
The draft amendment to the Social Insurance Act is presently being consulted. If it comes into force, entrepreneurs will feel a real relief in the regular administration.
