At 12:00 a.m., the Grand March will mark the anniversary of the coronation of Bolesław Chrobry and the Prusian Holde. The launch was planned from the Copernicus Monument in Krakowskie Przedmieście. Crowds of participants from all over Poland are coming to the capital – among them are the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs.
On 12 April, it became a symbolic date – resembling both the coronation of the first king of Poland in 1025 and the Hołd of Prussia in 1525. It was precisely to celebrate these 2 crucial moments in the past of our country that the march was held today.
The event is organised by the Committee of Social Initiatives, which includes prof. Andrzej Nowak, Marshal Marek Jurek and Patryk Jaka. The programme will besides include exhibitions, conferences and historical performances. 1 of the culminations will be the common polonaise, to which many couples have already registered record.
