NATO forces will face the stars.
Mr Marcin Gortat, a erstwhile U.S. NBA league player, including the Washington Wizards club, is organizing a charity basketball game again. For the eleventh time, sports stars, artists and celebrities and soldiers will face each another in a sporting duel. “One of the most crucial values of our large match is to build respect for Polish uniform and Polish soldier,” Gortat admits. This year's edition of the gathering will be unique. For this year 25th anniversary of Poland's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance Marcin Gortat's squad will face not the Polish Army squad – as yet – but the NATO team. In Natov colours soldiers will present themselves NATO Battalion Combat Group and Poles.
– The Ministry of Defence is very curious in promoting defence, but besides in integrating the Polish Army into society. The Marcin Gortat Foundation has been moving activities supporting this goal for years. And there's another large show ahead of us. Looking at the compositions of both teams, it can be said that it will be a kind of star match! – commented Deputy Minister of defence Cezary Tomczyk. “There will be a lot going on not only on the dance floor, but besides at the hall itself, where everyone will be able to get to know modern NATO military equipment,” said the deputy chief of the MON.
Next Saturday, June 15th, journalists Paulina Krupińska-Karpiel and Damian Michałowski, actors Tomasz Karolak and Maciej Musią, will besides play in the Łódź Atlas Arena on the basketball field – including the Bungee duo or Lexy Chaplin. Like all year, there will besides be no shortage of athletes. The NATO squad consists of 18 people, including 10 Poles. Major Jacek Szcześny, head of the Physical Education and athletics Section 15 BZ, is the coach of the military squad erstwhile again. The Polish Army will besides advance territorial defence troops, cyberspace defence troops, Military Gendarmerie and athletes-soldiers from the Central Military Sports Team. Promotion points are besides prepared by: Military Recruitment Centre from Łódź, Military method Academy and Military Centre for Civic Education, which in Łódź will present the exhibition “25 years of Poland in NATO”.
