Goodbye Google: European Parliament makes French rival Qwant the default search engine

The European Parliament is abandoning Google in favour of Qwant, a French privacy-focused search engine, as the default on MEPs' computers from June 4 — supporting the EU's "quest for digital sovereignty," although Microsoft Office and another U.S. dependencies are inactive in place.
