Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz took part in a conference on the future of the armed forces and the conclusions of the war in Ukraine. He talked about the request to invest in unmanned vehicles, not only reconnaissance, but besides combative, medical military improvement and raising defence spending.
On Monday, in Warsaw, a conference organized by the Defence Portal was held: "Inferences from the war in Ukraine – equipment and structure of the Polish Army and civilian Defence". The debate was attended by the most crucial commanders of the Polish Army, defence experts and representatives of the arms industry.
Deputy Prime Minister, National Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in his speech stressed the importance of the conclusions of the war in Ukraine. As he pointed out, after almost 3 years it is essential to analyse and redefin the actions which Poland is conducting. "Not due to the fact that we are radically changing our approach, due to the fact that we know where the danger is, but due to what works effectively in the face of specified a threat," explained the head of the MON.
Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz took part in a panel entitled "Vision of the Armed Forces 2039 and conclusions of the conflict in Ukraine". The discussion was besides attended by the head of the National safety Office Jacek Siewara, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army Gen. Wiesław Kukuła, General Commander of the Types of Armed Forces Gen. Marek Sokołowski, Operational Commander of the Types of Armed Forces Gen. Maciej Klish. The defence minister indicated that 1 of his first decisions was to introduce all possible solutions from the war in Ukraine. "Not only those of a military nature, but besides the preparation of political actions," he said. As an example, he gave a revision of the legal acts issued by the Ukrainian authorities to see where the Ukrainians had to focus and what laws and regulations to be best prepared to respond to the aggressor.
Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamish indicated the main objectives for the improvement of the armed forces. He spoke, among others, about strengthening social resilience and building civilian protection. And of course about the modernization of the army. The drones will be changed by all cases. [...] They are needed not only in reflection and reconnaissance activities, but besides in combat activities," stressed the Minister of Defence. As further areas for analysis, he indicated, among others, the field medicine and artificial intelligence. – How to usage these resources in action and how are they managed today? What structure of the army to create? How to prepare an army for admission of recruits, for mobilisation, for a situation of immediate danger? – mentioned Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Recalling the army's fundamental goals, he besides spoke of the ability to long-term destruction. “This will besides be 1 of the crucial tasks for us in the coming months,” said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Poland's contribution to global activities was considered by the Deputy Prime Minister to be very crucial NATO Centre for Analysis, Training and Education – Ukraine in Bydgoszcz. “It enables us to gain cognition not only for Ukraine, but besides for all allies about what lessons should be learned from the war in Ukraine,” said the head of the MON.

Jacek Siewara, head of the National safety Bureau, talked about the request to shorten the chain of command and exclude dual work of commanders. The conference “The conclusions of the war in Ukraine – equipment and structure of the Polish Army and civilian Defence” consisted of respective panels. During discussions on fresh technologies utilized in the war in Ukraine, among others, the improvement of artificial intelligence and its usage for systems and operations were discussed.
