The European Commission has agreed to finance investments in Elbląg port by EU funds. The task was implemented by PLN 200 million from the regional programme - informed president Elbląg Michał Missan and Marshal Marcin Kuchciński. Excavation of the Vistula specified without full access to Elbląg port remained an incomplete investment. Between the city and the erstwhile government there was a dispute over who was to finance the deepening of the last passage of a water track about 800 metres long.
