In the program from POLITICAL DNA Piotr Szumlewicz and Piotr Nowak analyse the environment of Grzegorz Braun and the consequences of increasing radicalization.
Politicians and criminals at the stadium
The confusion began after the appearance of Janusz Walus – convicted of political assassination in South Africa – and Grzegorz Braun and Mateusz Piskorski, against whom the investigation for espionage takes place. The presence of specified a trio at the match, to which families with children besides come, raised opposition to any fans and public opinion.
Braun takes criminals aboard - From the political bottom - Piotr Nowak and Piotr Szumlewicz
In the opinion of Piotr Nowak and Piotr Szumlewicz, the club's reaction was insufficient. They point out that this is not the first time Walus appears at the stadium, and the deficiency of a clear position of the Legia Warszawa Club normalizes – in their opinion – highly controversial characters.
Grzegorz Braun – a politician or a figure of extremism?
A large part of the conversation was devoted to Grzegorz Brown and his activities. It was indicated on the list of charges which, after the immunity was waived, went to court. These include:
- violations of the integrity of a public officer,
- damage to property,
- insulting spiritual groups,
- the usage of fire extinguishers for another Members of the Sejm,
- trespasses on public institutions.
The analysis besides shows the subject of the pro-Russian sympathy of Braun's environment. The commentators remind us of his meetings with a Russian writer expelled from Poland on the charge of spy activities and Braun's rhetoric, in which there is no criticism of war and terrorist action taken by the Russian Federation, while the European Union and Ukraine are presented as threats.

Anti-system mosaic – from anti-vaccinationists to erstwhile pro-Russian activists
The discussion highlighted that Braun's group attracts different environments: from anti-vaccinationists, through the extremist utmost right, to erstwhile activists of the ‘Change’ party, any of which had openly pro-Russian sympathy. Their common denominator – according to Piotr Szumlewicz – is not a coherent program, but opposition to Western institutions, norms and authorities. Braun's voters seem not curious in a detailed economical or social imagination - the impression of "authentic" radicalism and opposition to the establishment is important.
Biding for Radicalism on the Right
A large deal of space was besides devoted to the phenomenon of increasingly harsh rhetoric flowing from groups on the right side of the political scene. The Confederation, Law and Justice and the Braun environment compete for a akin electorate, which, in the opinion of commentators, shifts the language of public debate to extremes.
Examples are:
- statements by the Confederate politicians about Hungary as the only actual ally of Poland in the EU,
- announcements of taxation minimisation without indicating how State backing is financed,
- acute reactions to the TEU judgement concerning the designation of monosexual compounds abroad.
According to the leaders, this is simply a political ‘downward bidding’ where each group tries to top the erstwhile more extremist motion or slogan.
Patronite.plPublicationsFans and policies – toxic compounds
There was besides a return to the relations of the politicians of utmost environments with the leaders of the fan groups. As indicated, extremist sections of Legia fans have been maintaining autonomy towards club authorities for years, applying force and sometimes force against footballers and board. Walus' invitation was assessed as a demonstration of the strength of these groups.
Social hazard and future of the Braun movement
Finally, the interviewers note that although Braun's radicalism may grow, his political possible is limited. Its electorate is highly emotional, but according to the authors of the program it is hard to imagine support exceeding a twelve percent.
At the same time, they inform that the standardisation of utmost behaviour and the presence of those convicted or accused of criminal activity in public life lowers the standards of debate and deepens social divisions.
