Memory of interned and arrested in connection with the introduction of martial law has been maintained in Głogów since his first anniversary. In the early years, this was not without consequences for those with the courage to express it publicly. The most common of them were the candles, whether a bunch of flowers were laid in front of the well-known Głogów Children's Monument.
On 13 December, a candle was lit in the windows. Only in 1998, erstwhile a large stone was laid in the square at the Street of the Defenders of Peace, and on it a plaque with the inscription “Memoirs of the Victims of Totalitarianism and War Law”, the celebrations are held there. And this time there was a banner post of NSZZ Solidarność Huta Miedź Głogów, oppositionists from those years as well as people who remember the years of commune. This time, Vice-Voivoda and the worker manager of the Miedź Głogów Huta joined the flower makers. Of course there were us, or the Polish paper Club. Hymn, inflammation, flowers, short prayer and God's something Poland. The full was led by the president of NSZZ Solidarność Huta Miedzi Głogów Andrzej Kucharski.
At 4:00 p.m., the ceremony continued at Głogów Memorial Avenue. It was led by the Patriotic Globes. An hr later at the Archaeological-Historical Museum in Głogów there was a panel discussion about the time of martial law with the participation of Głogów oppositionists and the Branch manager of the Office of Memorialation of the Walk and Martyrdom of the IPN in Wrocław Dr Jerzy Rudnicki.
