Gladius is 1 of the newest acquisitions of the Polish Army. Upon returning FT5, a combat BSP-U drone is launched into the air. This plane is equipped with an electrical motor, a propeller and a five-kilogram head – a cumulative or shrapnel-storming. It can overcome a distance of 100 km and effectively hit an armored vehicle or group of soldiers.
In 2022 the Ministry of Defence signed a contract worth PLN 2 billion for the transportation of 4 Gladius battery modules. She was the first strategy to complete the 18th Artillery Brigade. This happened in late 2024. Its elements gradually scope 3 another units.
