Gladius for the Szczecin Division

Gladius, all components of which are integrated into the Topaz combat system, may operate in a battery group, within autonomous platoons or sections. The strategy developed by the WB Group consists of an air and land component. The flight part consists of unmanned air systems (BSP) for aircraft designation FT-5 Moose and effectors in the form of circulating BSP-U/Warmate 5–10 ammunition (may carry heads weighing 5–10 kg). For training tasks, a training version of BSP-UT is used, in which the imitation head is mounted. specified a drone, unlike BSP-U, is simply a multi-use device.

Unmanned FT-5s were equipped with sensors to detect and track objects in the visible band (FT-5 IMINT), utilizing an artificial aperture radar (FT-5 SAR) and a radio-electronic emanation band (FT-5 ELINT). The Reconnaissance Moose reaches a ceiling of up to 5 km and can fly about 180 km from the operator, remaining in the air for 10 hours. The full strategy features, among others, modular design, integration of means of fire and diagnosis, opposition to radio-electronic combat (interference, false satellite navigation signals) or autonomous flight modes (attack mode, flight at selected points, flight to point, cruise over target, return mode to safe location).

Polish Army has been utilizing Gladius since December 2022, erstwhile the 18th Regiment of Artillery from Nowa Dęba, following an agreement signed by the Armed Forces Agency and the WB Group, received the first elements of this system. The contract worth about PLN 2 billion afraid the acquisition of 4 battery modules with supplies from 2022 to 2026. The first was full delivered to the 18th Artillery Brigade in December 2024.
