The government of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni broke the erstwhile evidence of the durability of executive power in Italy, formerly owned by Silvio Berlusconi's second cabinet from 2001 to 2005.
The Italian cabinet, sworn in on 22 October 2022, reached the position of the longest continuously serving council of ministers in the past of the post-war Italian Republic.
As a consequence of this accomplishment on Friday 4 September 2026, the head of the government in Rome was congratulated by the president of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki, pointing out the importance of bilateral relations, close relations between both countries and the common goal of building a safe and prosperous Europe.

The head of the Italian government declared to proceed strengthening the Polish-Italian partnership within the European Union and coordinating political action in the main global arenas, emphasising cooperation in the area of safety and defence of common European values.
