By the end of the week, negotiations will proceed in Geneva within the 5th session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on the improvement of an global treaty on plastic pollution, the alleged Global Plastic Treaty. The work so far has not brought crucial progress, with a large number of representatives from the fossil fuels and petrochemical industries having a crucial impact.
