German economy minister Robert Habeck warned that "American customs mania" could origin massive harm worldwide. In his opinion, this day for consumers "will not be a day of liberation, but a day of inflation". The regulation, signed by Trump on Wednesday, imposes common duties of at least 10% on goods imported from abroad. For the EU, they will be 20%.
