Germany backs distant from declaration of 2% of GDP on defence

The German government has withdrawn in its draft budget bill its commitment to devote 2% of GDP to defence, according to Reuters. The decision puts Germany in an unfavorable light especially after erstwhile declarations by Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
