Germany's national Intelligence Service (BND) wiretapped Barack Obama for years erstwhile he was US president, the German weekly Die Zeit reported. The politician was allegedly eavesdropped on board the Air Force 1 plane without the cognition of the then German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
