Obsolete command strategy – Why does it request changes?
Chief of General Staff of the HR, Gen. Wiesław Kukułastressed that the current command model, based on a breakdown by ‘force provider’ (power provider) and ‘force usera’ (power user), he is no longer fit for modern challenges. This system, introduced in 2014, was designed primarily for expeditional missions specified as anti-terrorist operations. Gen. Kukuła pointed out that the fresh model has the advantage that does not require reorganisation of structures erstwhile moving from peace to war, which is presently generating considerable difficulties.
“We must be ready” – Military prepared for war
"We will urge specified changes due to the fact that present we are preparing for war. (...) We request to be ready – we have constitutional duties on us soldiers, and we will do everything we can to fulfill them.” – stressed the Chief of General Staff.
Gen. Łukowski recalled that the bill prepared by the presidential administration, providing for the appointment of Joint Operations CommandHe's already gone to the Sejm. He besides pointed out that proposals for amendments were drawn up by military experts, not politicians.
"Today, there is truly no uncertainty that the strategy needs to be changed. The question is only erstwhile to do it, at what point. (...) I always say that it is about time to do so (...) No 1 from the military has any doubts about that” – he added.
