Donald Trump provoked widespread outrage, claiming that NATO soldiers avoided direct participation in the fighting in Afghanistan. His words were powerfully commented by General Roman Polko, a erstwhile commander of the GROM unit who himself participated in the mission in Central Asia. Polko reminded the president of the United States that he "went distant from military service" in Vietnam due to... heel spur.


The U.S. president made his remarks in an interview with Fox News, in which he again suggested that NATO would not support the United States if requested. Then he referred to the war in Afghanistan.

General Roman Polko responds to Trump. "Man who got distant with military service"

Donald Trump's words were commented by General Roman Polko on TVN24. The station recalled that 43 Polish soldiers and 1 civilian individual were killed during the mission to Afghanistan.

– Above all, large respect for veterans – and for their families – who have fallen [in Afghanistan]. For those who had more soldierly luck, but besides for those who have struggled so far due to the fact that they have lost their wellness there," said erstwhile commander of the military unit of peculiar forces GROM, after which he smoothly moved on to the attitude of Donald Trump.

– It would not offend you, dear veterans, a man who got distant with military service, due to the fact that he had a spur on the heel, due to the fact that in this way Donald Trump was most likely the first president to avoid military service," he said.

The heel spur is simply a painful ailment of the foot, which may prevent average movement and has been considered a contraindication to military service. It is due to her that the current president of the United States has avoided calling to war in Vietnam, but many people seriously uncertainty this medical justification.

General Polko accused Trump of "a complete misunderstanding of what the brotherhood of weapons is and of what was built for many years." – I am convinced that president Trump will not change that – he stressed and added that "if anyone is incorrect about it, it's him."
