General Kukuła with American Award

During his visit to the US, Lieutenant General Wiesław Kukuła, who has late served as Chief of Staff of the General Military of Poland, was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Legion of Merit, awarded to the highest commanders in the country and from allied states, for outstanding merit during peace or war.
