Mazovia, Lublin, Podlasie... In support of the construction of 61 virtual and pneumatic guns, the Ministry of Defence will pay nearly PLN 8.7 million. The first 2 competitions this year “Shoot in the District” have just been decided. Up to 3 more, including 1 to fund the construction of a classical shooting range, local governments can apply. You can get up to 7 million PLN of support.

The first 2 of this year's competitions "Shoots in the District" afraid the co-financing of the construction of virtual and pneumatic rifles of a closed kind with equipment, enabling organized shooting training for school youth, among others. The competition committee gave precedence to applications from local governments, where there is no universal access to classical shooting ranges.
Projects related to the activities of classes with a uniform profile in secondary schools, with emphasis on the educational projects of the Ministry of Defence (military preparation troops, CYBER.MIL classy, manufacture troops).
59 applications were submitted for the first competition (virtual shooting ranges), with backing for a full amount of nearly PLN 7.26 million for 55 projects. 3 municipalities and 1 region received a maximum grant of PLN 200 1000 for the construction of a virtual weapon range. On average, about PLN 132 1000 was allocated to 1 project.
Most of the fresh virtual weapon ranges will be created in Mazowieckie Voivodeship (10), and then in Lublin (7) and Warmian-Masurian (6). The concentration of investment in central and east Poland is clearly visible. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Local Governments from Lubelskie, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie and Warmia-Masurian voivodships, 22 projects (40% of all funding) will be implemented. The least fresh virtual gunners, due to the fact that only one, will be created in the Zachodniopomorskie voivodships (the municipality of Barlinek) and Świętokrzyskie (the municipality of Brody).
In the second competition, comprising closed air weapon ranges, the backing went to all six local governments that made their offer. The fresh buildings will be built in Zambrowski, Błchatowski, Przeworski powiats, in the Gmina Ksików, in the Capital City of Warsaw and in the Municipality of Głogów, which was the only 1 to receive a maximum grant of PLN 300 thousand.
The full value of grants awarded amounted to PLN 1.42 million, which gives an average of PLN 236.5 1000 per project.
The shooting ranges reported under these 2 competitions must be established by the end of 2026. The rules presume that they will be made available free of charge to students of secondary schools, pro-defence organisations and another authorised users at least until the end of 2031.
The Central Military Recruitment Center already collects offers for 3 consecutive competitions in the “Strzelnica w powiat” program. Local governments can apply for funds for the construction of virtual and closed pneumatic shooting ranges (offers can be sent until 13 August 2026). In addition, the last competition of this year concerns the co-financing of the construction of classical shooting ranges. In this case, offers can be sent by 23 October 2026 and apply for PLN 3–7 million (depending on the variant of the weapon scope built). The task supported in this competition must be completed by the end of 2027.
"Shoot in the District" program has been implemented since 2019. The MON thus supports the improvement of tiny arms training infrastructure, in peculiar young people, pro-defense organisations and another formations carrying out tasks for the safety of the state. By 2035 the ministry intends to allocate PLN 30 million per year to this programme.
