photo. marcinromanowski.com.plKrzysztof Rutkowski stated during his visit to the Sejm that he had established a state in which he was hiding from the judiciary pursued by erstwhile Deputy Minister of Justice and Marcin Romanowski.
The politician is accused of unlawful obstruction of proceedings on the spending of funds from the Justice Fund and remains subject to the European Arrest Warrant. In an interview with Polsat News station Rutkowski, who regained his detective's licence in the summer, presented details of the alleged stay of the wanted politician:
"I'm in the mediate of his search. I can identify the country, it's Slovakia. Many erstwhile Members were hiding there.... The proximity of the country makes it easier, for example, to transfer money, to communicate. Romanowski is very limited, e.g. in paying – he must pay for everything in cash, due to the fact that the card leaves a mark".
He besides indicated a circumstantial location in Slovakia:
"In the vicinity of Banská Bystrica, we kept a fewer wanted people. From the information I have, Romanowski is not in the Transnistrian Republic, but somewhere."
Exclusion of the Transnistrian thread and announcement of the Bratislava conference
The detective's message besides referred to earlier reports of a wanted presence in Transnistria. Rutkowski confirmed his stay in this separatist region of Moldova, at the same time excluding that politicians should stay there:
“If Romanowski were there, he would be ours. KGB officers in Transnistria asked me why Polish police did not call them. I told them it was due to the fact that the European Union does not recognise them. Any scum can hide in their territory due to the fact that Interpol is not there.”
Rutkowski announced the organisation of a press conference in the capital of Slovakia, where he intends to present detailed arrangements for those providing support to the wanted Member:
"We will show on it who this associate is and who can aid him. They could be people from the Slovak government, due to the fact that they're in a good relation with [Viktor] Orbán [Former president of Hungary – ed.]. If Romanowski is found by me, he will be detained by the Slovak services. It is followed by a European detention order."
