Agora transfers the full print of “Gazeta Wyborcza” to the Polish Press Group in Sosnowiec and Bydgoszcz in accordance with previously announced plans. The diary printing at the fresh location will begin on Sunday 31 August. The Monday edition will then be printed.
Imielski: ‘The work will proceed unchanged’
Until now, “Gazeta Wyborcza” has been printed at the Agory printing plant at Danishewska Street in Warsaw. According to the company's press office, the latest editions of the diary – Friday and weekend – will be printed there on Thursday 28 August.
How will the transfer of printing to the Polish Press Group's plants affect the regular work of the “Gazeta Wyborcza” team? “The work in the editorial board will proceed unchanged. Readers and readers, as so far, will receive a quality product – provided Roman Imielski, the first deputy editor-in-chief of the “Gazeta Wyborcza”, in a message given to us by Agory's press office.
The decision to decision all the printing services to the outside of “Election” was for our strategical company – added Mikołaj Chrzan, president of Wyborcza. – Our readers and readers will buy the same paper in the newsstands, but its production will be much more profitable for us. I work with the Polish Press with optimism. They have a network of well-located printers, experienced employees and a competitive offer – says Chrzan.
The printing home at Daniszewskia Street in Warsaw is the last specified plant in Agora's portfolio. Previously, the company had resigned from moving 2 printers – in Tychy and Pile.
