At least 32 people were killed by Israeli raids in Gaza on Saturday morning. The attacks occurred a fewer hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanjah spoke at the UN General Assembly.

The bloodiest raid destroyed a home in the Tufah territory of Gaza, killing at least 11 people there. According to infirmary workers, more than half of the victims were women and children, and 4 another people died during the attack on Shati exile camp.

Netanjah’s controversial statement

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in the UN that his country "must finish the works" in the fight against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. He addressed the words to both increasingly divided public opinion in the country and in the world.

During Netanjah's speech, dozens of delegates from another countries left the UN room. As the AP agency recalled, this demonstration showed increasing opposition to Israeli politics.

Balance of the ongoing war

According to the Gaza wellness Ministry, more than 65,000 people died as a consequence of Israel's actions in the region and over 167 000 were injured. UN agencies and many independent experts consider the ministry's data to be the most credible respect for war victims.

The Israeli run began on October 7, 2023, erstwhile Hamas terrorists entered Israel, killing about 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. There are inactive 48 hostages in the Gaza Strip, any 20 of whom Israel considers to be alive, while most were released as part of a ceasefire or another arrangement.
