Baobab-G will service to rapidly and precisely make overhead minefields – effective anti-tank barriers aimed at slowing down, stopping or targeting enemy forces. The strategy uses Polish MN-123 mines armed with a trigger that activates under a passing vehicle. Detonation of little than 4 kilos of mine can penetrate a 60 mm thick armor, harm the tank's caterpillar or teardrop the wheel of the transporter. The mines are fired from six pitchers mounted on the vehicle platform.

Baobab-G is capable of placing a minefield up to 1800 m long and 180 m wide in little than 22 minutes, moving at a velocity of 5 to 20 km/h. The strategy has a advanced degree of automation. The mine transporter is equipped with an on-board computer integrated with a GPS navigation system, enabling precise planning and execution of the task by a two-man crew. In addition to mine launchers, it is to be equipped with device weapon WKM cal. 12.7 mm.

Baobab-G is another overhead miner vehicle from HSW, which in 2023 signed a contract to supply 24 wheeled Baobab-K vehicles (on Jelcza chassis 8x8). The value of that contract amounts to nearly PLN 510 million, and Baobaby's first wheeled ones are to scope the army in 2026.

Manufacturer MN-123 and pitcher mounted on Baobabach is Bydgoszcz Belma, who at this year's global Defence manufacture Exhibition in Kielce presented the unmanned-manned overhead mine strategy Ivy with a single pitcher (20 barrels). On December 30, Bydgoszcz Electromechanical Plant Belma received over PLN 311 million of backing from the Capital Investment Fund for capacity development, in view of the needs of the Tarcza East programme and the armed forces.

Deputy Defence Minister Cezary Tomczyk recalled that the Shield of the East is not only fortifications and fortifications, but besides hundreds of kilometres of border prepared for fast mining. "Decision of Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the Polish Parliament Poland has resigned from the Ottawa Convention, regaining full freedom of choice to usage anti-tank mines. We increase the production of anti-tank mines 25 times. We are already spending PLN 310 million on urgent investments in the improvement of production capacity in this area," Deputy Minister Tomczyk emphasised.
