The president's signature under the long-awaited amendment was a formality. We already know that since January 1, 2026 this benefit will increase from 4 to 7 1000 PLN.

The revision of regulations was prepared by the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. The amendment of the Pensions and Pensions Act from the Social Insurance Fund assumes an increase in the ceremony allowance to 7 1000 PLN.

The benefit will be valued from 1 March if inflation exceeds 5% in the erstwhile year.

  • application for payment of the ceremony allowance (available at ZUS),
  • the identity card of the applicant,
  • proof of costs incurred (e.g. coffin invoices, burial site, transport and another ceremony services).
