From the past of the method Sciences Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences

Prof. Roman Ciesielski (1924–2004), a specialist in structural mechanics and an active associate of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, submitted an extended and well-reasoned motion to the president of the PAU on 20 March 2002, in which he indicated that a unit should be established to integrate at least those technicians who had already been granted the position of PAU members.
